So I just watched that video and I'm pretty sure she meant that other people view her differently or expect her to be someone different than who she is right now because of their perception of who she is. She said Gaga is a nickname (which is what she has almost always said) and she is both Lady Gaga and Stefani.

I know what it's for. And I'm not complaining, I said I'm worried, because it's easy to interpret whatever she says these days as her putting her music in the back seat as long as LG5 is not out. I remember everybody cringing back when she got her GG and she said that she wanted to be an actress before she wanted to be a singer.

This particular interview may not be a good example, but when I personally complain, I don't do it loosely.
