Not really, considering one is apart of a party that is constantly blocking the legislation for gay marriage to come through. If you really genuinely cared for minorities & their rights then you would have to motivation to become actively involved in the coalition government.

That's why I said leaders because individually Malcolm wants it to pass and if he had full autonomy would pass it tomorrow without the need of a plebiscite.

True. But it's still problematic that he's the leader of a party that has historically oppressed, and continue to do so, several minorities.

I'll vote labour but even though I personally like Turnbull more than Shorten, he's just unfortunately under too much pressure from right winger party members & voters.

I will be voting for Liberal, or Nick Xenophon. The Liberal candidate for my electorate is an amazing man, who has personally helped my family so I want him to win. That being said my family is very heavily Liberal as are most of my friends and their families, and so have I been up until this point. I battle with the issue of wanting to vote with my morals which would be better represented with Labor. However I believe voting Liberal will always be the smarter decision. Either way they both suck.

Yeah, and it's not like the US. It really comes down to how you view the parties views - not the individuals. We learnt this very harshly with the whole Gillard/Rudd/Abbot fiasco.

I identity as a moderate liberal, but I'm not that impressed with either party for this upcoming election. I really like Malcom, its a shame religious organisations like the ACL have such a tight grip on the Liberal party.

Going off my two local members, I'll probably still vote liberal, but I want to catch up with my Labor MP and discuss her views on policies.
