Combining the Jazz record with the new pop record on the same CD would be a dreadful idea
Not only would she get dragged by the media and her Jazz audience because of her intent to sell her pop release with an older audience, but it would also be a bad career move in so many different aspects.
There are literally no advantages in this idea, mostly because her Jazz audience is so different from her pop audience. If they would like her new stuff, they would buy her pop record. They don't need to be somehow forced to spend money on her ''Gaga'' stuff just because they listen to Tony Bennett and usually buy his music.
Also, the idea of having such different styles of music on her new anticipated record which we are awaiting for a few damn years already, by combining her new work with some boring ass Jazz standards quickly recorded and released for Tony's birthday seems like a disastrous idea.
As I already said, if she really needs to put out another Jazz record this year, she should do it by the beginning of August (5th to be more precise, two days after Tony's 90th birthday) and drop the promo schedule of it, at least until the holidays arrive so that she could focus on releasing her own damn stuff starting from September.
Jazz record - August
Lead Single - August 28 - VMAs
LG5 - late October / early November
AHS6 - October onwards
Second single - beginning of December
Jazz record promo schedule - mid December to January
Worldwide tour in support of LG5 announced by November 2016. That would help A LOT because she would have two different albums out, two different audiences, a single out on radio, weekly TV presence and it would help ticket sales A LOT.
She could then do some promo for LG5 starting from January to April in the US, UK and Europe (with tickets on sale for her worldwide tour) and then later embark on the worldwide tour starting from late summer 2017.
