I don't think you necessarily have to copy / paste the original.
A good example of a "sequel" song that isn't directly linked would be Because Of You > Piece By Piece
It's a very natural progression of her story.
ooo interesting challenge! the perspective will be hard for me I think since a lot of my entries are basic on central metaphors or concepts rather than emotion.
I think out of my faves Lana has the best potential to hold something for this challenge but we'll see I guess, I tend to write in a Natalia Kills style anyway so I might try with her
Don't act like you weren't confused too. You had the same question but I asked it first. I didn't realize the answer was right there but now I know what the answer is, no need for sass. The challenge is a bit abstract but the details are all right there and I now get it
The only person I was sassing was Trumporal. I thought our bad blood era was over.
ceremonials, I'm advising you, stay away from florence
No all my songs have glimpses of inspiration from her (even when it's not AS apparent as last year , the derivatives of her lyrics are usually always there like swiftie said) so I'm not about to stop now.
I don't know if I should just write a song and then find a song that works with it afterwards, or find the song first and work from there
I'd say if you already have a good concept then try to find a song that fits but if you're having a bit of writer's block then finding a song first would be good
