There was a video/livestream that went certified viral (as in it gets reported by the Naver indexed media) just before the Hani fancam went viral. So, you might have a point.
But that song had been building momentum for weeks, after the scheduled promo got botched by music shows going on summer breaks along with Sony's general incompetence in kpop. Before the fancam became discovered, there were performances of the song from
Inkigayo and such doing million views on unauthorized uploads to facebook.kr and such.
It's something that gets lost in the Hani fancam narrative that Korea has fully embraced over what actually may have happened to allow that song to have audience access -- Koreans really, really like that song. Just needed to hear it, first.
Am I late? They suddenly have everyone's back catalogue
