i've never taken less than 4 and i always felt like i was unusually lazy ._. but i tried to change from 4 to 5 this semester and that was a huge disaster, but i think that was because the classes i took were harder than usual (burn quantitative methods to the ground). still, they actually have a credit limit per semester here because people frequently try to take too many credits at once...i think the limit is 21? in theory you could take 7 if you didn't take any labs, and i'm sure some people do, but i don't remember any of my friends doing that. but either way 5 is the very least you can do here to not get confused looks, and usually 6 is what people do

I wonder what would've happened if I lasted more than 2 semesters on my intended major straight out of high school. I always sucked in school.

this isn't the first type of school i've been in that's like this, either. in my high school people would think you weren't interested in school if you weren't taking 4 or more AP classes at once by junior year. and the grades they talked about always made me feel so stupid in my harder classes because they would be like "i'm so sad, i only got an 88 on this test :////" while i got like a 70

are people in virginia just weird?

psychology. i like my major except for the fact that i have to take stupid quantitative methods. but in the classes that are ACTUALLY RELATED TO PSYCHOLOGY >_>...i love those, they're so fun and interesting

That's really cool. I've always found Psychology to be interesting. I should have majored in Integrative Neuroscience

and my college friends kind of do the thing people in high school did too, but in a different way. like i would say "i had to take statistics and spanish at the same time and it sucked" and they'd be like "oh, i took statistics, had a job, took spanish and calculus and physics, volunteered for cancer research, directed and starred in a movie, won an olympic gold medal, and single-handedly defeated godzilla and saved japan, and i felt like i was so inactive all semester you know ://///" and i'm like...oh
