As much as I love Adele and I respect both her crossover appeal and immense success in such sales climate, I can't consider her a popgirl. I mean, of course most of her music should be clasified as pop, but she's not what a typical popgirl is this century. Her image and artistry pretty much doesn't match the rest of girls mentioned, in my opinion.

I mean sure, in sales she's demolishing everyone, but that's about it.
Her artistry is nothing extraordinary, her voice is nothing extraordinary, her visuals aren't either.
All she has is big sales, crossover potential, and pretty good songwriting. That's about it.
