Now that we have a few details on Katy Perry's fourth album (KP4) with knowing Katy has been recording, writing with Bonnie McKee, having songs called "Rise" (snippets leaked) and "Witness" (a full demo leaked), and possibly another song called "Victory" (?), those this could be part of "Rise", it's your turn to..
Make Katy Perry's foruth era!
To do this, do some, though it's recommended, all of the following:
- Singles (this includes release dates, music video(s) concepts, single covers, and even promotional spots.)
- Album cover and name
- Album details (this includes release date, track listing, possible listening parties, etc.)
- Additional details (promotional singles, collaborators [co-writers, producers, features], inspiration, theme(s), look(s), and sound.
Get to work my fellow KatyCats and others!
This thread is meant to be serious but also creative. Troll post, including humorous ones, are not recommend but are accepted in good taste.

Written completely by Katy, Mother CYN, and Kacey Musgraves. Electro coffeehouse with some Americana tracks as well. Produced by irrelevants. Urban track featuring Drake for a random #1 that has nothing to do with the rest of the era

#1: Over It -- September 6, 2016
First single back from a long break, Katy roars (no pun intended) onto the scene with an angsty track about how she's done with meeting peoples' standards - she doesn't have to change for anybody. The song is very upbeat; a singsong chorus/melody to which Katy almost raps, paired with a darker electronic production. The song does very well and becomes an instant success; radio eats this up too.

#2: Mean It (ft. Rihanna) -- November 18, 2016
The second single is the long-awaited Rihanna collab. This song explodes onto the Hot 100 during album as a promo single the week before album release. This song is the perfect anthem and has a very interesting, tropical vibe to it. Both Katy and Rihanna harmonize on the chorus and the music video takes place in Barbados, where both Katy and Rihanna play a little game of John Tucker Must Die. This fresh collab dominates the Hot 100 for six weeks and is one of very few songs to debut top 10 on radio.

#3: Witness -- February 7, 2017
For the third single, Katy decided to go for a more riskier choice. The offical version of "Witness," when compared to the demo has an added verse and chorus but still keeps the almost ominous, yet exhilarating electronic vibe to it. The video is very controversial and includes a lot of sex under strobe lights -- it garners a lot of a views and helps the song's peak. The song barely scratches the top 30 on radio though (#28) which prevents it from reaching the top 10 on the Hot 100.

#4: Loser -- April 25, 2017
Perfect for the summer, "Loser" is a standout on the record (and a fan favorite). It has a very unique sound and a very memorable chorus. A more safe choice for radio. The video features a lot of celebrities that Katy is friends with and alludes to the whole Taylor Swift debacle. The song is one of radio's biggest during the summer.

#5: Hold On To What You Got -- August 8, 2017
For the album's fifth and final single, Katy decided to put out a more mellow, bluesy ballad (similar to 'Let It Go' by James Bay). The single is a bit odd for pop radio (peaking at #23) but does extremely well on Hot AC (#2) and AC (#5). The song alludes to growing up and the music video is a collection of home videos of Katy while she was a baby up until her making it big.

6. 66
7. RIDE (ft. Rihanna)
8. Witness

13. If You Were Mine
*Deluxe*
14. 1984
15. High By You
16. My Song
(tragic song titles, i know )
First single: 66
video debut/song out at the AMA's
Probably the most tragic title on the album, but look at which track it is. 666. She could make a dark video for it with some hidden messages (a lot), which would bring a lot of hype and media buzz and so on. R&B with some rock influences.
Second single: Hasta Luego (ft. Enrique Inglesias)
Don't panic, only a part of the song is spanish. Everything will be in english, besides the chorus that features some spanish sentences and of course ''Hasta Luego''. Sounds like a typical Enrique-Iglesias song, with a video, a mix of Ariana Grande's Focus and Ariana Grande's Into You (videos!)
Thrid single: RIDE (ft. Rihanna)
A song you can twerk to, basically about s*x. A hot video, and released sometime near LG5's lead single, so it'll get blocked. A lot of promo, because it has to block LG5's lead single.
Final single: 1984
Talks about Taylor. This song is supposed to push the album sales up. Some performances, but not as many as for the previous three ones.
Album drops on the same day as ''Hasta Luego''

K A T Y P E R R Y
E L E C T R I C
October 7, 2016
Electric is Katy Perry’s fourth studio album that marks a departure from both her usual bubblegum sound and major hitmaker Dr. Luke. It features a whole new group of collaborators Katy has never, or occasionally, worked with. The long-awaited Rihanna collaboration, entitled “Take Over”, finally makes the album; however it is the album’s only feature. Electric is Katy’s first explicit record and is mostly electro-pop with alternative, trap, and R&B influences.
On January 23, 2016, Katy Tweeted lyrics from the opening track, “Rise”:
Snippets of this track were leaked by a hacker after attacking Katy’s personal Twitter and e-mail accounts.
The full demo version of “Witness”, the track on the album, was also leaked the same day. The album’s finalized version features Katy harmonizing with the male vocals, by Pharrell Williams (also the track’s producer), in the pre-chorus and an instrumental breakdown and final high-note hitting chorus.
Two days later, on January 25, 2016, Katy teased the album’s title track with lyrics with the following Tweet:

S I N G L E S
1. “Up in Flames”
Lead single “Up in Flames” packs just enough flare to be both a mid/late summer staple and alternative vibe. In the track, Katy reflects on “a love that went up in flames”. Bongo drums and a light electric guitar lead the track with Katy’s light and crispy vocals; it is mid-tempo. This track also has future impact on alternative pop’s rise to popularity.

2. “Take Over” featuring Rihanna
“Take Over” is the official second single from Electric which features Rihanna. Both Katy and Rihanna share a urban-flared snap anthem in which the ladies co-pair a sharp chorus (“Say hello to the bad bitches / The ones that’ll leave you in stitches / Tonight we’re coming under and taking over”).

3. “Rise”
The third single from Electric is “Rise”. One of the poppiest songs on the record and another self-empowerment anthem, “Rise” struggles to hit the top 10 on Billboard. But after a few performances, it does so and the music video brings it higher. The album features an acapella first half of the first verse but the single version adds production to this part.

4. “Bodies Do the Talking”
The most sexual song on the album is released and the public responds extremely well to it. Some of the general public doesn’t even know it’s a Katy Perry song until the steamy music video featuring Calvin Harris. It becomes a early summer dominator.

5. “Witness"
Released by popular demand by the fans, “Witness” becomes the final single from Electric. Although the song isn’t too embraced by the public, streaming helps it rise to a #19 peak. The video is Katy’s most personal yet as she selects a group of fans to be her “witness” in the video.
