Rain/Here Comes the Rain Again- Loved this interlude. Very creative and unique. I think "Rain" is also another song that needs to be included more on her tours. Last performance we got was the Girlie Show. Would love to see it performed again.
Devil Would Recognize Alongoria- LOVED this performance from beginning to end. It took me a while to realize the projection she was inside was see through lol. I was like
Great performance. I loved towards the end how she just stands there all sad with emotion. Reminds me of the Hard Granny stans who have to hear the sad news that Hard Candy isn't her best album
Spanish Lesson- ANOTHER great performance. I can't understand for the life of me why so many people hate this song. It's just a fun song not to be taken seriously. FAR from her worse. It's just a cute little song and people act like this song is the Anti Christ or something. The performance was fun. This version trumps the Stale Candy version. It seems more complete. Overall, a great performance.
Miles Away- Excellent performance. I didn't even realize this is the third performance in a row from Hard Granny. Not complaining though. The crowd in Argentina was on FIRE. Underrated song.
La Isla Bonita- Hard to say this but not my favorite rendition of Bonita. It's....eh.....nowhere near Drowned World or Girlie Show. But for the theme I guess it's ok. Um, I guess lol.
Doli Doli- WHAT is this mess?
She could have done the acoustic version of Open Your Heart instead of this mess. I know she also sang You Must Love Me and Don't Flop For Me Argentina. I would have replaced all of these with OYH. It was such a GOOD version. Ugh.
ALSO, her costume in this section was actually nice looking. The BEST outfit of the night and where she actually looks human.
Get Stupid- I LOVE this interlude. I think it was a great way to introduce the last segment of the show: Rave. I'm pretty sure a lot of Madonna fans are used to raves if you know what I mean.
4 Minutes- Believe it or not, I actually like this song and it's a bop from Expired Candy. The performance kinda falls flat and don't even get me started on her vocals
Like, why does she sound so croaky lol?
Like a Prayer- GREAT performance. One of my faves of the night! I really liked this rendition and how she reinvented it to fit the rave theme. Her vocals might have been a bit iffy but still the whole concept was amazing. I don't know maybe the music was drowning her out so maybe she had to increase the volume of her voice? She sounds MUCH better on RH with this song.
Ray of Light- I don't know why this performance gets a bad rep. Is it similar to Confessions? Yes, but so what? Other artists include the same performances on their tour but they never get slack! I liked the rendition but I feel like she could have done the performance a lot better instead of standing there with a guitar. She could have done it better. But I love the arrangement way more than Confessions.
Butchered I mean Hung Up- Whoever came up with this idea needs to be beheaded on the scaffold because this is the closest to adultery in the most recent years. This could have easily been replaced with Impressive Instant but somehow it snaked it's way in her. TERRIBLE. Not to mention her struggling to sing the notes.
Give It 2 Me- Perfect closer and a perfect way to end the rave section. She needs to not be so abrasive though when she wants the crowd to sing along with her. Like bitch, they're not supposed to sing your song you are.
