How much do you guys think LG5 will pull in its first week?
Regular release: 1st single + album following after about 2 months = 150-200k first week pure (180-230k SPS)
Surprise release: 200-250k first week pure (240-300k SPS)
Am I being too optimistic?
Slightly. Especially since Gaga isn't a streaming force.
Personally, I see LG5 pulling 120k-140k pure sales, then 150k-160k with SPS. She definitely isn't pulling ARTPOP numbers in 2016. And if the album is to be a success, I don't see it's success living in the first week, but having better longevity than ARTPOP (and much more acclaim) thus making it feeling bigger than ARTPOP was as there'll be a positive attitude around it.
Also, a smash lead doesn't equate to higher album sales. I have a feeling y'all need to lower your success expectations for this era.

That girl came off of donutgate and 2 singles with terrible chart performances.
Gaga is a household name, has acclaim and has stayed in the public's mind through her many performances

Gaga's lost so much of her stan base, it's really hard to tell what kind of selling power she still has. She's still a huge star power, but it does depend on the music if she'll regain her commercial power. But you have to consider how much the industry has declined since ARTPOP. Only a handful of artist nowadays can debut with 250k in PURE sales and 2M WW isn't being seen often either. People with huge hits can't even match that in streaming right now, which is the current platform, a platform Gaga isn't big in and has took away a huge chunk of digital sales. Unless you're Adele, Taylor or Beyonce you can still sell without it - but they're all bigger album sellers than Gaga.
Just lower your expectations, then be pleasantly surprised IF she pulls bigger. Watch even my expectation not be reached and she pulls a Lotus after her Bionic.
The Queen is the worst song on BTW and one of the worst songs Gaga has ever put on an album.
I don't get what people like about it.
I love the bells in the intro, her voice in the song, the verses are life (the way she says hurricane ) the chorus is great (minus the "The Quee-queen-queen' part), the bridge is her best bridge (the lyrics are among her best) and the outro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That's what I LOVE about this song, one of her 15 best.
