Yeah, I'm gonna stay positive. I loved the movies, both DOFP and Apocalypse, I like MCU and their movies, but X-Men are just something else for me. They're just about everyone who feels different, they're more dark and interesting imo. X-Men are iconic and started the superhero era with Batman etc.
Can we like, ignore King Maxx's MCU fanwank so the topic doesn't derail too much?
I'm excited for the New Mutants movie. We need more new blood in the franchise.
THIS. We should be judging a film SOLELY on it's own merits not making comparisons to two different franchises, with two different approaches to the source material. Just why can't people like the diversity of it all?? Instead of rooting for X-men's failure (especially when it CREATED this current CB craze) hope they learn from their mistakes and do it better next time.
is cannonball the one whose legs spinn around and he fires him self like a....cannonball I really don't see how they could translate that into a movie without it looking silly

That's the truth. Opinion is opinion.
I'll see Apocalypse again soon! My friends love the movie too. I need to watch it again, but this time I'll choose 3D.
Yeah, like when you watch most comic book films you know the out come before you go into the cinema: Good super heroes win, none of the main cast dies or ever feels like they are in any real danger, but woo lord in apocalypse you feel that death was seconds away and there were
2 main character deaths

DDDDD
This is Cannonball:
Quote:
Cannonball is a mutant who possesses the ability to bodily generate thermo-chemical energy and release it from his skin. This energy is used as thrust to cause his body to be propelled through the air like a rocket, at great heights and speeds with considerable maneuverability.
He can control his speed and direction through sheer act of will. At first, he could only release this energy from his feet and legs, but now he can fire it from almost any part of his body, to a wide variety of effects. This energy also manifests itself as an impenetrable and virtually indestructible "blast field" that protects him from bodily harm.
He can use this blast-field for the following effects: to function as a personal shield or extending it to encompass others, to shape the field around another person to imprison them, or to absorb outside kinetic impact into his own energy supply, enabling him to increase the bludgeoning power of his blows or to create explosive shock waves upon impact.
There wouldn't be a MCU without the X-men films, they were literally ground breaking and iconic.
Right. I know this. But Iron Man really was the start of a phenomomen which is why it has outgrossed and higher reviewed than most of the X-Men films. MCU's impact on films is unparalleled.
But I'm a fan of X-Men films like I said b4. Apocalypse still sucks tho.

I kinda feel bad for that actress playing Jubilee. She seems really invested in the character and I've seen her doing a lot to promote this movie and Singer cut her out
