Can someone please tell me why ATRL treats Cyndi Lauper like Becky G or something? People keep putting her down and acting like being "this generations Cyndi Lauper" is a bad thing and something to be frowned upon. Last time I checked she was a massive, respected pop music icon with a lot of incredible music in her discography. GJWHF, True Colours, Change Of Heart, Time After Time and All Through The Night are classic pop staples. People here usually respect and appreciate the older pop music greats which is why I find it strange that Cyndi is so disrespected. If y'all wanna use an 80's popstar comparison to drag Kesha and Gaga like that, use Tiffany, not Cyndi!

Anyway, looking at lyrics in isolation is kinda dumb. A song is a mix of intent, delivery, and execution. Lyrics and production are a function of those things.
