Taylor's songwriting is definitely way overrated.
She has some good highs but most of her stuff is either really bland or even worse downright atrocious.

The fact that she had the nerve to rhyme "shake shake shake with bake bake bake and hate hate hate" like a kindergardener

This is just as gross and appalling as I remember it.

I must've accidentally mixed fake and break together in my mind. The point remains the same.
The only song of Taylor's that could reasonably be argued as betraying even an ounce of craft is You Belong With Me, which can actually be parsed as being directed toward the other girl in the song and not some other boy as most people think, but the rest of her discography does not make a compelling case that that homoerotic reading was intentional or that she is capable of such wit.
And the chorus is still weaksauce as per, so she remains useless.
