I'm glad she kept it simple. I had read so many comments from people saying they fully expect her to make the tribute all about her.
It was good for what it was supposed to be: a legend saying goodbye to another legend and friend. Madonna is in her own lane and wasn't asked because she's influenced by Prince and can emulate him. If they wanted that they could have asked someone else and someone much younger. A lot of people seem to be looking at her like she's still one of the pop girls (which is what she wants) and seem to forget she's a legend and icon herself.
Anyways, it kind of does make me happy to see how loathed she is (on the internet at least).
Her whole career has essentially been about pissing people off and being a massive troll. That she still brings out so much hatred in people today is impressive.
