Yeah, I don't count JLF and TTD as an indication of what P!nk's music has become. You could say it's just a parenthesis before the "real" P!nk comes back.
However, I noticed that JLF was really popular among non-P!nk fans.

I don't worry about P!nk's performance skills and I don't think she's phoning it in. This is a woman who gave us TRY , live y'all. Justin Bieber would be phoning it in. I think she's just not physically ready for this performance... she was so out of breath, and the tempo of the song is too fast to keep up. Also, the last time she did such a live and athletic performance was Jan 2014. Maybe after she reads the reviews (like TIME's) she will retire aerials for award shows (and then everyone'll be like, oh no she didn't fly, we miss her flying!)

But like all of you, I worry about the quality of her music. I felt JLF was her chance to do something left field. Maybe she did and it was rejected. Who knows how much tight rein her record label keeps on her.

Whoopsie, completely forgot about this! Not her best performance but it seems like the bar that she she set with GITA & Try is so incredibly high that not even she herself can top it. Everyone automatically expects something groundbreaking which makes her 'meh' performances seem a lot worse than they actually are.

Yeah, having the backing singers should be enough. They are so talented and I actually liked Blow me at the VMAs, for example, where no backing track was used and you could hear them instead.
