It's funny how 'huge global hit' = just smashing in Europe and Australia.

It's not just US ignoring it. South America, Asia, and Africa pay these songs no mind either. Granted, 90% of their countries don't even have charts but still.

EDM being huge in Europe/Australia & flopping in America is no different than K-Pop/J-Pop being huge in South Korea/Japan and flopping everywhere, Latin music being huge in South America and flopping everywhere, and Urban/Country being huge in US/Canada and flopping everywhere.

South America usually just plays what Europe plays though I have no clue about Africa or India, I know East Asia has its own local music.

Nah, most of those "global hits" were also hits in Africa and South America

Not sure about Asia. Asia has always been picky.

I don't think I ever listened to Rebel Heart in full, but most of the songs I heard from it were pretty good. It was definitely miles better than AARP.

Like HeartBreakCity was one of the ugliest sounding songs I've heard. The production is soooooo demo-ey. There's some really good songs on the album though, like Veni, Vidi, Vici.
