Thanks to all of you for giving in your all in Round 1. We hope you bring the highest level of enthusiasm and quality to Round 2! While most Round 2s are short and sweet, we're putting pedal to the metal right off the bat with a full song. Some of you have already guessed it...
CHALLENGE #2 THE DUETS CHALLENGE
For the past two seasons, this was attached to another challenge, but for PH9, your only requirement for this is that you write a duet. You may write this duet by yourself, but, we are also giving you the option of collaborating with another player.
What that exactly means is up to you, but keep in mind this is explicitly a DUET and NOT just a collaboration. You (and your potential partner) must write lyrics from two separate perspectives. It can be a male/female sung duet, a rap/sung collaboration, or any other combination of two artists you can think of. We are looking for a dialogue between two distinct voices in your entry. The subject and topic of your duet is completely up to you, the writer(s).
When submitting your song make sure to show which sections of the song are sung by which person. Use different colors, bold one part, etc. Please ask if you have any questions before beginning your song.
Again, to be clear, co-writing your song with another player is optional. You are free to write the song by yourself as well, as long as the song is from two different perspectives.
If you are writing with another contestant, please, tell me via wall post, PM, in this thread, smoke signals, whatever, ahead of time. Only one of you will have to PM your entry.
