Loved it, it felt a bit too similar to other movies and Days of Future Past was a bit better but I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the whole 80s feeling, that scene with the Eurythmics song was LIFE.

True, but when this one cost $234M in production alone it's likely a total short of $600M WW wouldn't even break even for Fox. That would make them think twice before putting that much cash on the table for another X-Movie.

Beginning scene is great, end battle is epic. I had the vapors. Oscar Isaac did so well. I loved when Apoc's feelings of blatant superiority over everyone else shine through, it's the small moments like those that made him. Not easy to pull off seeing as Oscar is buried under make-up and that costume.
I totally agree with that youtuber Chris Stuckmann who says every sequence seems to be better than the previous one.

Lawrence however is a great actress and major box office draw, so it will be interesting to see how this pans out

IDTS. Fox is a giant company they expect and even welcome losses once in a while plus the next movie is already on greenlight so no need to worry for the sequel.

Because that's not what Mystique is, plus those opening numbers show that JLaw's box office power might be overrated. Xmen is an iconic brand so they don't really need her and a big part of fandom would actually like to see her go.
Saw it last night. Very weak and is full of the most fake lookng CGI and greenscreen work I've seen in a major movie in years. So tired of these "end of the world" plots too. So dull and seen-it-all-before.
I just watched it and it was really good not as good as good as X2, FC and DOFP but DEFINITELY better than all the others including Deadpool. Even though I think conspiracy theories are stupid, I don't understand why it has such a bad critic reception. F*CK critics tbh

Do they really think this is worse than Last Stand which wasn't even that bad aside from trying to cram in characters left and right
