Well I'm no history major. Just going by what the public thinks since we're electing one of them for the office.

I'm not sure . The majority of the younger public wouldn't care. The older people probably would. I really don't care because I'm not benefit anything from it.

Different interests. Younger voters tend to be much more partisan, which Bernie is. They are also keen to listen to his message on free college, political corruption, don't care about him being a socialist, etc.

Older individuals are almost the exact opposite of that. More moderate, do not like socialists, and are drawn to a name they can trust and like (Clinton)

You can't make a claim on what is the most of something in history and base it strictly on what the current public thinks.

Older people are typically less idealistic and liberal. I've spoken to a lot of older people and many have said, for instance, that while they love Bernie's ideas they have seen in their lifetime that change doesn't happen the way he's proposing it. So, it makes them more skeptical. Further, older people are likely more attached to Hillary than younger people whose impression of her is more of a blank slate that Bernie took advantage of.
