This is so messy, almost all of those tings are still sight

Isn't meter just making sure rhyming lines are the same amount of syllables? I don't get what's not to get but I think, maybe, people just get lost In the melody they have in their head and forget that the judges can't hear the melody, so that could be part of the issue

That's what meter is, but meter is a small part of flow which is more important. You have to make sure the stressing of your syllables is right, that your rhyme schemes and song structures work, and that everything reads smoothly throughout both technically and thematically. But yeah, a lot of people can't even get meter right somehow.

That's the main issue. Especially for me.
My meter is always trash and majority of the reason why I get eliminated so quickly. Not this time tho
