No. Beautiful Liar did better worldwide than Telephone.
Telephone sold more as to be expected, as BL was released at a time when digital sales weren't as high.
Regardless of which one peaked higher at the time of release, "Telephone" (a) sold more, (b) has an iconic music video, and (c) is infinitely more remembered. It wins.
I really don't know why Britney and Rihanna stans still bother to try dragging Beyoncé. Beyoncé has the kind of receipts that every stan would kill for their fave to have. She has classics ("Crazy in Love," "Single Ladies"). She is respected by the majority of people regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, or race. She is an enormously talented singer and dancer. She has the stage presence of a goddess. Her tours routinely slay the box office. Her last two albums were critically acclaimed (actually acclaimed, not just above 70 on Metacritic). She has been praised up and down by pretty much every music legend to come before her. And above all, she's the richest pop girl in the game.
