I just thought the Unova story was really dope because it wasn't just the same old evil group wanting 'A' to get 'B' (at least not in the beginning). N really had me thinking if having Pokemon locked in a ball was unethical

Out of any region, if I woke up one day and was a Pokemon Trainer, I'd want to be in Johto to start off, though. There's just something about it that's beautiful, classic Pokemon, and aesthetically amazing - I think it might partially be the traditional architectural styles. It's also home to Bellchime Trail, of course.

What? I thought it was stupid as hell. Sure, it would have been cute and fine to not conclude the story and roll the credits until the resolving of the N / Plasma story, but to have it actively disrupt even so much as encountering the Champion in the league didn't sit well with me. I don't like massive change to established formula, especially when there's a reason the formula is there, unless it's done really well, and I think they could have done better with this idea.

Gen 4 was interesting because with time and with nostalgia, Sinnoh has grown on me so much. I think it's because I really spent hundreds of hours on Diamond and Platinum - I still have a Diamond save with almost 300 hours logged on it.

And Johto was the region I started with, so getting remakes was kind of my fave thing ever. HGSS are still my second faves.
