3D is pretty cool. Actually, the opening credits work amazingly in 3D. They're longer than any X-movie before...

Also the X2 theme being used brings nonstop hype.

why are the reviews so low?

I expected this to get 80%+ not struggling to get to 60%.

Still gonna watch cuz numerous times theres movies I love that aren't even certified fresh.

It's better than Last Stand but it was easier to get higher scores back then so that movie has an inflated score by today's standards. I would give the film a 7/10 but critically I can see it being closer to a 6/10 from non-fan critics.

I'm sure this has already been discussed and there's a very logical and reasonable explanation for it, but...

Why does Quicksilver sniff the girl he's talking to in the Sky broadband advert when she looks away? It's pretty weird. Is the movie a lot darker and more twisted than I'm anticipating? It also annoys me that Storm is hanging with the rest of the Xmen in it when she's being advertised as one of the baddies in the film.

First Class was ok for me, but I didn't like any of the new student X-men, and Emma Frost was so under used and didn't capture what her character is imo,

The Wolverine and the X men cartoon had an AMAZING Emma frost.
Its sad that we will probably never get Emma again (unless they do some complicated mind-body-swap thing with her) as she was confirmed dead before the history was changed in DOFP

why finally get comic book accurate costumes though in apocalypse and they get dragged though, Like the film makers can't win either way

It opens in 3 days in the UK and there's a serious superhero fatigue here so it will be interesting to see more reviews.
