I can see why...its one of my favorite horror movies ever tbh. But I understand why people weren't into it. What I liked about it and other movies like it follows and babadook is that they weren't made to scare and make quick money they were made with the intentions of making a good movie which is rare for horror movies. I loved reading the witch's director/producer interview about it and how he wanted it to be authentic and he succeeded but yeah Im sure its too slow for some girls to like it.
Its like a lot of people here that LOVE cabin in the woods and I hate that **** I actually watched it 2 times years later and still hated it.
