Rowlet is pretty neat, cute, dual typed and it's animations are cool
Litten- Decent for a fire type, I like the all black, it's ugly but it looks cool compared to previous fire starters
Popplio - Looks goofy, I'm afraid it will evolve into a fat ugly walrus clown. I like the nose though

Ok, the starters are underwhelming. If they were regular pokemon they would be fine but they don't have the starter FEEL. Hopefully the evos are better
