Ugh not again DOFP didn't have an IMAX release either, I think that's what kept it from outgrossing The Last Stand in the US, it was a 500k difference

Can't really blame IMAX for that. Last Stand was pre-3D ticket price boom. DOFP should have out grossed it... US flops have to wait an extra two weeks as punishment this time around!

Honestly I feel like the only way Apocalypse will be stopped is if the dark phoenix rises. Bryan did say to pay attention to the clip of Jean from the first trailer as it's a hint of something. And the random flames could be her going apeshit, as that is the only way you can really stop a god

Civil War was a cute girl. In my opinion it Genuinely didn't top Xmen DOFP.

The Apocalypse trailer didn't show Beforhand. At least it showed before star wars.

I agree, but I don't know if that's because I'm heavily bias towards the x-men (espically when the old cast is included)

I'd absolutely love to read the comics later this year. Comics weren't a big deal here in Hungary so my childhood was X-Men: Evolution and the movies only. But every time I want to get around the comics the mess often scares me away So many issues, re-runs, complicated timelines I just don't know where to start. A complete reboot would be epic.

Collider is posting their non-spoilers review on Monday and I am shook as ****. I want the word of mouth to be good so Fox can block Disney from passing off the top spot to themselves again.

Big critic screening was last night in London. Major screening (that I'm attending hihi) is Monday night at the massive IMAX screen in central London which will essentially be the world premiere with cast and crew there too. Monday is the start of media blitz - reviews go online and pics of JLaw and co from the London premiere and likely others around the world. I expect a NYC or LA one either next weekend or the week after.

Obviously nobody knows for sure yet, but since Fox are letting reviews go out long before the UK/Ireland launch and weeks before USA, that's a really good sign they have a critical gem... At least they think they do.

Nnnn, the bigger mess in Marvel are the multiple timelines. Once you look up which ones are good to start with, you'll love how characters from other teams join or make quick cameos
The re-issues usually retcon some events from old comics and adapt them to include stuff from the new ones. You should really give them a try.

My only complaints so far are too many main characters and the fact that they didn't listen to the public and made Quiksilver one of the 4-5 main characters for this one, he SLAYED in DOFP, had probably the best scenes but he's again a co-star.

But he's one of the main characters. I'd say he comes after Apoc, Xavier, Magneto, Mystique and Jean.
