Well, I guess strangulation could be an alternative use for the rope, but you don't really have anything to worry about as long as you don't get on Dibble's bad side, do you?

You can always check out places on the map you haven't seen, yet.

Ahem. There are less than 4 hours of the Day Phase remaining. This is a good opportunity to go over some loose ends.
Private Communication
Now's about the time you should be getting your alliances in order. Like most tournaments, alliances are crucial, but even more so here: At most, two people can win this tournament, but you'll need to survive until the end to do so. Getting friendly with people so that they don't kill you prematurely might be a good start. Allies may also be your only saving grace from being falsely pinned as the killer during a trial!
Additionally, you might have noticed that you have less Action Points than there are locations: You'll definitely need to coordinate with friends to fully explore the ship and collect items! Knowledge is power in this game.
Let's review how we communicate in this game: First you send me a PM with your intended recipient, a meeting place, and message. Now you relax, and let me do the legwork!
I then contact your recipient and ask if they agree to talk to you. If they do, I'll give them your message. You're able to trade items, info, and evidence this way!
An example PM is below:

That's all there is to it. You'll be informed if your message is rejected.
Remember that game-influencing talk outside of the thread or via this method is forbidden, and will get you ejected from the game. I need this method to keep track of who has what items, evidence, and alibis, etc.
Action Points
Remember that Action Points reset every phase: they don't carry over. Make sure to get whatever locations you need to go to out of the way now!

Now, we've entered our first night phase. Let's go over some basic mechanics of this part of the game.
First of all, don't stress too much: it's identical to the Day Phase, just with the exception of thread chat no longer being possible. If you wish to explore areas, you must PM during this time. Private Communication via the system I outlined above is also still available. Note that your Action Points have been reset, as well.
I'd like to bring attention to something I've noticed among contestants: a lack of deeper investigation. ALL aspects of an area are searchable. You can remove items from areas, as well. Pay attention to the descriptions of items, as you may think of a different use for them. Be creative! And don't be afraid to ask me questions: asking me what's in drawers, underneath rugs, what a certain aspect of a room does, and the like is totally acceptable. Always wonder if there's more than meets the eye, and you'll do well in this competition...
There is one additional feature we're going to add to the Night Phase, however.
Murder Scenario Submission
This is the first phase you can submit a murder scenario, a necessary step if you want to win the game via the Outwit Condition, the earliest possible win condition. Proposal for a murder scenario should at least include a location, a target, and method of attack. From there, the scenario could be as simple or as complicated as you wish. Moving bodies, disposing of evidence, and altering areas is all fair game. Remember, you're aiming to make a foolproof plan.
You must also have access to whatever elements you include in your scenario. For example, your target must be where you say they are. How you accomplish that is up to you. Deceit? Deduction? A lucky guess? Anything that gets the job done will work. Here's an example scenario that meets all criteria:

Luckily, because your fellow contestants judge your scenarios, and not myself, I'm able to give you some feedback or suggestions, if you ask for it.
That should be about it. PM me if you have any sort of questions during the thread's 48-hour lockdown. See ya' real soon!

Light from the hallway floods the study, strangely darker than usual. It exposes a cold, horrifying scene to the world: a body is revealed in the corner. Its face is strangely placid, eyes closed: it makes the scene even more unsettling, as if they might awake at any moment. Closer inspection of its features reveals that this passing is not nearly as peaceful as the body’s countenance might suggest: red eyelids, swollen lips, and a bruised neck are observed up close.
Thank God the candle on the desk has been extinguished, or else the shadows it might cast on the corpse’s face would make you lose it entirely. Not only has the candle been extinguished, but this bright person, full of life and flickering energy, has been snuffed out as well.
There would have been an ironic twinge of humor to all of this, if it wasn’t so real. To think, someone who once organized a tournament concerned with the mystery surrounding his mock-death would end up the first victim of this crazy game… It’s too cruel. That game never reached a conclusion. That’s not an option this time. We have to find the Ultimate Gamemaster’s killer, or else all of our lives will be at stake.

Investigation Period
- After a murder occurs, investigation commences.
- All players receive an apparent cause of death and the location of discovery
- Players explore the ship as they please in search for evidence
- Every aspect of an area can be examined, search thoroughly
- The victim's body can also be examined
- You examine objects by asking the game host about them
- PM me to interrogate other players for alibis and accounts. Just give me a name and your questions.
Evidence is gathered individually. If you wish to share your information publicly in the thread, you may. Multiple people can discover the same pieces of evidence.
Investigation continues until either all evidence relevant to the case is gathered once, or the time period runs out.
Oh, and reminder, if you fail to pin the correct assailant, the game instantly ends with them winning. So search hard!
