No because you know we actually have voters who pay attention to policies and experience. Bernie does better because he has not been vetted.
Hillary beat Bernie because more thought she was ready. Obama beat her because they thought he was ready.
And you can't say open primaries would make things different. Hillary won open/mixed primaries as well. Bernie would still lose closed primary states if they were open not because of Independents, but because of the demographics. Bernie got crushed with Hispanics, blacks, and somewhat women. That's why he lost. Democrats or not.
