It's not because the promo was unsuccessful that it isn't promo?

Work, Kiss It Better & Needed Me are all singles released to support the album. Rihanna released videos to promote the singles & her era. It's promo. It's not working very well (Kiss It Better is flopping, Needed Me isn't doing that great and it clearly isn't helping the album) but it's still promo.

As days went by I dug some more into some tracks of Views. I might like it better for now. Lemonade was way too instant with next to no longevity.

It's kinda dense/wrong to claim that this is good promo compared to what every other pop artist does to promote. Taking everything into account, the era is succeeding.

That's not my point. Am sure the era would do better if Rihanna actually performed somewhere. But you can't say there's 0 promo when there's. It's just not the most effective one I guess
