So from 2012 to 2015, digital sales declined by 31%. As of December 2014, Billboard reported that Starships has sold 4.5M in the US. If you factor the declining sales, that means that Starships would sell approximately 3,105,000 copies if released today.

Yeah, there's no way that One Dance is going to sell that much in the US. This proves that Starships > One Dance in terms success. You can have your chart peaks, tho.

Nicki's success... is nothing new for female Rap either.

Going Platinum? Lauryn Hill did 8x Platinum.

Not to mention there's female rappers with GRAMMYs, #1's, and actual iconic moments in Rap which Nicki has none of.

Nicki hasn't done anything huge for female rap but get tons of hits (and Drake also has a record-breaking amount of hits for Male Rap).
