Only groundbreaking or revolutionary aspect of Nicki is her managing to become a legitimate corporate entity; an actual brand.

However her album projects are ****. Many of her single choices are **** and she truly lacks any direction or notable sound at all. Here's hoping the next LP changes all of that but i doubt it. No point focusing on just Pop or Hip-Hop, just make a good ****ing album. With good music.

Thinking Of U will always have a special place in my heart but as a whole, Warrior is a pretty 'meh' album for being her best received critically.

Animal's tracks and her earlier demo's like Booty Call/Butterscotch/etc. always stick out to me more because they're so Kesha.

What Nicki has managed to do as a female rapper is ridiculous. She's the first major female rapper to be accepted by the GP since Missy/Kim. And before you even start saying Nicki falls back on catchy hooks, most of Missy's hits have catchy little hooks between her raps so the white folk have something to sing to at the club. Nicki literally has been in the game for 6 years as a part of a marginalized genre of rap and made it work.

Drake has had immense success, but for a male RnB artist/Rapper he definitely hasn't reached the level of success that Usher/Nelly/Lil Wayne were experiencing at their peaks. He's performing well but he's not doing anything extraordinary. Of course he's going to sell well because he's literally the millennial answer to the aforementioned artists. Plus, not to pull the race card, but he definitely panders more to the white community than most in his field.
