Like I said, Nicki made a lot of missteps in her sophomore era, and even in TPP era. She just wanted to do whatever she felt with no rhyme or reason and it made her music incohesive and polarizing.
Drake was smarter in how he balanced pop and urban. He built his fanbase over time until he became appealing to all demographics.
I think he'd still be a bit more successful tho for the simple fact that Nicki loves to embrace her sexuality with full force, and the prudent gp ain't here for that.
