I was very young then but I remember slw84 said everyone starting hating Britney after the video. But In the Zone was still a hit, and N'Sync and Britney basically had the same fans.
People didn't hate Britney for CMAR. They hated her because she was scandalous
She's just progressively talked less and less and less for the sake of avoiding media scrutiny. She was reckless in her DC days, she tightened up at the beginning of her solo career, and now she thinks very carefully about every word she chooses.
Talking in front cameras isn't the same as talking conversationally. For a perfectionist with Beyoncé's degree of stardom, I imagine it's one of the worst things in the world. No wonder why she stopped giving interviews in 2013.
Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home
Today I regret the night I put that ring on
He always got them ****ing excuses
I pray to the Lord you reveal what his truth is
Beyonces OWN interview is one of the most painful things I ever had to watch. Oprah was sitting there with a visibly pained expression at how Bey was jumbling and stumbling to find words for obviously pre-selected questions
Britney and Beyonce are the most stiff and least articulate in interview settings. Rihanna actually does not come off as awkward at all. She usually cracks better jokes than the host at times Madonna will always be the queen of interviews. It is so annoying that she does not do interviews that often. I have never seen a Katy interview. Gaga seems very guarded and secretive. I think the only interview where she seemed the most revealing and real was the Howard Stern one.
