I've been listening to this all day. I'm not familiar with any original / live versions of this song before, but I absolutely love how mellow the production is... it sounds SO different compared to the type of EDM that most mainstream hits have... like I love how there's no drop or anything. The way her vocals are processed is amazing - the perfect mix between pitch-texture and rawness. This just sounds so fresh. You can really hear her finding her breathing room on this. I just can't wait to buy it and support her again. This is all feeling so new and refreshing to me, as I'm sure it is to her.
I've seen a few people say they don't like how basic the lyrics are but honestly there are some really great lyrics in this song, and much more basic stuff on mainstream radio right now...
I really love how they kept the same vocal effect on her voice as the original, I didn't expect them to. I only liked the original after a few listens, I LOVE Kesha's.
Also according to the iTunes credits, Kesha didn't get a writing credit.
