Just watched When a stanger calls and wow, the build up in the movie was fantastic! i would never babysit in the middle of nowhere...

Green Room was INSANE. Basically, imagine the last 20 minutes of The Guest, but stretched into an entire film. The gore was revolting and when you least expected it, the tension was incredibly effective and prolonged, the story was very original and well thought out, and it had enough humor to ease the tension without breaking the mood. Loved it.

Hush was so weird I love the concept and some scenes were so well done, but the ending seemed kinda anticlimactic.
I also don't get what the point of the Craig character was. I kept expecting him to show up later, but he never did. Kind of a waste of a scene.
The protagonist was fun to root for though and it was nice that she wasn't a massive dumbass except she shouldn't have continually gone outside.

Like a 7.5/10 movie. I might actually prefer it to The Strangers.

Hush was so corny and predictive. At a point, I was cringed at the boredom the killer had to experience walking back and forth around the house. It just became awkward and repetitive at a point. Like dude, you're so determined to kill her, that you had your hand crushed between a window and STILL took several trips around the home, looking dumb? Why didn't he lose interest? There were so many opportunities for her to kill him, yet she just kept letting him get away.

The concept was good and could have went far, but it just seemed like a movie they had to stretch to fufill proper time limits. It would have worked better as a short film imo. 4/10

when i first heard of hush i thought it was a feature length movie about that buffy episode



how scary would that have been!!

anyway, the movie hush was alright. nothing special or anything to write home about, really. one time watch that will be ultimately forgotten.

also, it lost a lot of its "pizzaz" after you can see her "inner self" talking to her and hyping her up. it felt like a cop-out and like they didn't have enough faith in the actress to convey the necessary emotions that came after or faith in the audience to "get it".
