This would make sense if reviews were strictly about music but they are not.
Also using metacritic to defend your taste is the most illogical thing because if you say X is better than Y because it has a better metacritic score that means you pass the scores off as a fact and then have to use this method for all your music. I don't think many of them would claim that Smile by Brian Wilson is the best album ever
