Yes. Hillary is the nominee. She only needs 50% of the California delegates. If she wins more states before then, then that number drops.

Clinton's winning margin in Conn may be larger than I expected. I thought the winner would only be 1% ahead, but she is almost 4% ahead with 91% of the votes already counted.

Hillary will increase her lead tonight by about 50 delegates! So she will be ahead by about 285 delegates (ignoring the superdelegates). A massive lead.

I understand the reasons why he hasn't quit. He's not a democrat, I don't think he gives a **** about the party's prospects in the GE. He used the party's platform to get his message across the biggest amount of people possible, it both worked and didn't work. It worked because it forced Hillary to move a little bit to the left on some subjects, it didn't because his message wasn't good enough to convince a majority of the voters to support him.

She didn't stay in for that reason. She stayed in because "anything could happen" in politics. She just used that as a tasteless example but that wasn't the reason why she stayed in

But she was winning the popular vote then so she had an argument. Bernie does not (but I could care less whether he stays in or not)

There's a very big difference though.

Hillary only trailed Obama by 100 delegates, and that was before she won PA, OH, and then Texas. There was still some mathematical rationale for her staying in. She also easily won MI and FL, though they ended up not counting. Also, she ended up with more of the popular vote than Obama, though Obama won by pledged delegates (something like 0.5% more) and superdelegates.

By the vote counts, it seems like all the states that voted today will likely vote blue in November. This is mostly regarding PA since the others are more traditionally blue.
