Finally finished Lemonade. Kind of disappointed with the ending. Was hoping it would end with Jay's mangled corpse on display.

I wish more artists would do something similar. I know Kanye had something similar back in 2010, and it was by far his best album. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I don't. Kanye and Bey can pull off visual albums, they're always brimming with interesting ideas. I could see maybe Lana and (with lots of help/input from others) Gaga/Rihanna...but anyone else that tries it will look like they're just copying and being faux-deep. Didn't Nicki do a short film for Pinkprint?

It's not like Beyonce wrote the music, lyrics, poetry or conceptualized the visuals beyond 'it's about me and jay having troubles and me finding reconciliation in the end'.

These pop girls are all able to be used as props by much more talented producers, songwriters, visual artists, etc.

But yeah, not here for, like, Katy Perry trying. Would be like the California Gurls video for 45 minutes.
