One would expect "the internet's busiest music nerd " to know his facts a little better than he seems to. He doesn't know his stuff as well as he would lead you to believe.
He's overwhelmingly pretentious, seemingly a contrarian for the sake of it, and kind of a misogynist.
I think it's stupid to review and album completely based on how it sounds, because most albums have a lot of context behind them. You can't pride yourself as a critic if you take everything at face value.
The narrative concept is something the critics are really digging and I agree with it. I think the movie as a whole really helped the album, even if I do think it is strong enough on its own.
The fact that Bey took that man back dilutes the strong feminist woman image she portrays. But i'm not surprised, she likes to portray many things to the public that actually aren't true.
Lemonade is probobly the most real and honest she's ever been.

I think finding the balance of the album itself at face value and the context behind it really is something most music critics struggle with. Reviews do seem to pretty much always focus too heavily on one over the other, so it's not just him guilty of this.
I only got around to listen to Lemonade once and it's a 6/10 on first listen for me. It doesn't stand a chance against 4 or ST but it might be her fourth best.
I just listened to the tidal snippets for the second time and its just terrible. How could anyone like this?

I won't be using any of the songs, I could get some of her stans liking it for the "value" it gives them though. I just don't see anybody aside of her stans really liking it though.
