Truth be told: the best thing about this whole thing is the great poetry she quotes. Are they originally written by her or are they all from other poets?
they're all from one poet I think, he's credited at the end of the movie
All jokes aside, I am all-in-all satisfied with Lemonade. Not going to let myself care much about singles success, well, lack there of rather, or numbers and all of that with this era because I doubt Bey is going to. I love the music and I'm blessed to say that I have the privilege of seeing her perform it live, which I can't ****ing wait for.
Yeah everyone will be dragging it next week for a lack of #1, bandwagon Britney who will flop and then start dragging Gaga for no reason.
It's just ATRL. At least we got another masterpiece with high replay value and a killer stadium tour to go with it.
"She’s obviously not the only major pop star willing to experiment and push at the boundaries of her sound: that’s clearly what Rihanna and Kanye West were attempting to do on Anti and The Life of Pablo respectively. The difference is that those albums were at best a bold and intriguing mess: the sense that the artists behind them were having trouble marshalling their ideas was hard to escape. Lemonade, however, feels like a success, made by someone very much in control. "
