I remember Bowie quite well, but Prince's career was all in my lifetime, and Prince was bigger than Bowie (though they were probably equally influential given their enormous talents and abilities). And as I said before, the very first issue of Billboard my Dad bought for me in July 1984 had "When Doves Cry" as the #1 song on that week's Hot 100. So Prince's passing really brings my chart-watching hobby full circle, and I really hole Purple Rain can reach #1 for that reason.
