She's just a couple months younger than Prince, which is mildly terrifying as a concept.
She just put out what is ostensibly her best record since Confessions and second best this millennium. Like, I refuse to accept that her passing is even a concept, a possibility.
I haven't been particularly affected by most of these celebrity deaths, though Prince's was a shock to me, because I hadn't discovered their music in a
significant way until after their passing, which I've come to regret deeply in cases such as Whitney's. But Madonna? That woman is seriously my role model. When I need to be strong, or ambitious, or intelligent, or creative, I pretty frequently find myself looking to her persona and music. I will be a wreck if that day comes.
