Because our culture for some reason thinks it's better to alter your body over your internal sense of gender role than to challenge and abolish the status quo that created those gender roles to begin with.

Yeah...but using they/their just seems like reinforcing what the collective are fighting against

It just reminds me of those situations where a person says they have many voices in their head and they have legit conversations and arguments with each...so people uses they to refer to that individual

Maybe it's a political statement...but it's just seems contradictory...I feel weird referring to you as a they

This kid on my floor last year said people use "ze/zim/zer" and that way easier
