she said that it was fine laughing at her self for the moment but that taking something that should be celebrated ( a wemon sharing her feelings sincerely ) and twisting it into something negative was a sign of sexism. That quote was said later in the interview and it wasn't even about the Tina and Amy situation.
But of course since those were the days taylor was painted as the reincarnation of hitler for dating ( I still can't get over how ridiculous that was ) everyone focused on that quote , twisted it into taylor hating on other women and used it to justify their hatred for her ( which was mostly a result of jealousy )
the red era was truly tragic , the fact that taylor managed to get over all that hatred and return with 1989 is the perfect assessment to her power.
