Douwe Bob who is representing the Netherlands at this years Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Slow Down” has placed a 1,000 Euro bet on himself to win in May.
AD.nl reports that if Douwe does take the Eurovision victory next month in Stockholm he could find himself 80,000 Euros richer. The Netherlands are currently 19th in the betting odds behind the likes of Cyprus, the Czech Republic and Poland. Douwe was talking to the press yesterday at Eurovision in Concert alongside 26 other Eurovision artists competing in this years contest.
2014 was a good year in a way that countries that normally flop (Austria, Netherlands, Hungary - and in televote Poland and Switzerland) were so high, while countries that always play safe like Azerbaijan and Denmark deservedly flopped.
