Tho I was a pioneer when it came to hating on E Mo Tion, jose has a really good point. Sometimes y'all assign bigger significance to an artists input into a song than the result gained from the input. This happens all the time when it comes to certain "alternative" "indie" artists.

Why are you acting like doing everything - from lyrics,to vocals, to production, to visuals - on your own is not a great triumph for an artist and not worthy of being noted? It surely isn't "nonsense" or "a gaga tea" (Gaga has never done an album on her own).
AA is exactly what modern pop should sound like: instantanius, hard hitting and catchy but at the same time retain personality and a certain degree of experimentation.

Art Angels is far superior to Emotion.

That's hardly debatable, the production itself is clearly and objectively more complex, demanding, interesting, fresh, etc... The lyrics are sometimes cringey but the best ones are masterpieces (Pin, Butterfly). And the fact that she did it all alone is just a complementary advantage. That being said, it's still a little overrated.

Emotion is a cute album though, it has like 4-5 good songs.
