Rhythmic: Rhythmic charts monitors stations whose playlist is Dance-urban-oriented, Rhythmic is like the Mainstream of Urban hits. They usually play R'n'B/Hip-Hop and Dance pop tracks.
Hot AC: Hot Adult Contemporary charts monitors stations whose playlist include many old songs (from the 60's to present hits), Hot AC plays mainstream tracks that are not r'n'b(urban)-oriented and not dance pop.
AC: Adult Contemporary stations play mainstream tracks that are not r'n'b or dance pop.
Urban: Urban stations play songs that are usually R'n'B or Hip-Hop, sometimes Pop/Dance Pop tracks when the artist is black.
Urban AC: Urban stations that play R'nB or Hip-Hop and ignore rap.
Country: Stations that fit this format, play country music....
AAA (Triple A): They usually have the most diverse playlist in overall radio, These stations play from indie rock to country, from blues to alternative rock, folk to mainstream and jazz.
Alternative: Usually rock artists.
Mainstream Rock: Rock tracks that also happen to be extremely popular (and sometimes even crossover to Mainstream Top 40)
Active Rock: Current hard rock artists and classic rock songs.
