Work has underlying meaning when you listen to it. The lyrics have something there.
Yeah, I agree, it's so apparent in her first verse, such a shame people that are hung up on how "gibberish" it sounds on the radio are missing out on the message

anyone who knows anything about Caribbean culture should know that she's speaking a native dialect lol I would think most people have been exposed to Reggae by now and some Dancehall, it's the same 'gibberish'

Why is this the best song ever written? Stevie is such an underrated legend
In a Joni Mitchell-less world maybe.
Blue has like 5 songs better than Landslide lol
My favorite Fleetwood Mac song wasn't even written by Stevie but she has the best rendition of it
Quote:
I turned around
and the water was closing all around
Live a glove
Like the love that had finally, finally found me
And I knew
In the crystalline knowledge of you
Drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal like a clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
I don't expect them to know what Patios is or even take the time to figure out what she's actually saying but casting it off as gibberish is just ignorant...like my friend didn't know what she was saying either but she liked the song so much that she asked me to teach her the lyrics the other day lol
