Favourite Worst Nightmare is a nice album. Their debut is grossly overrated and each of their post-FWN releases have had one or two tolerable songs.

I've been listening to Pitchfork approved artists lately and they're actually so much better than the typical **** that ATRL (including myself) listens to daily. This sounds lame as hell but it's true. Get some taste yall.

it's been interesting lately, between ci's billboard nominee pettiness and future's drags.

The Arctic Monkeys are alright. Definitely one of the best mainstream rock acts.

The British press does too much with them though, but they're always hyping people up and tearing them down.

I don't know, The more indie stuff is different, but I don't really think there's anything wrong with pop music. Just music for a different purpose.

Some pop music is very backward-thinking and not progressive for music.
That's the part of it that is bad to me.
The part of it that's great is how it unites people and empowers them.

I completely agree. All genres have their backward musicians though, maybe pop has a little more than most though.

I agree, but most of the pop music out today is horrible. 7 Years, NO, Pop Style, Work from Home, I Took a Pill in Ibiza, Don't Let Me Down, Dangerous Woman, Never Forget You - all poo poo and stupid.

I like songs like We Belong Together, Bye Bye, Me Against the Music, Run the World, Shake It Off, etc.

AM's debut is one of the best albums i've heard.
