How can weed turn you into someone smarter?

people out there. and weed doesn't chance anything about a human. It literally opens you up as a
book. your friends talked about hip hop and theories because their cognitive system are interested in
those themes. if you liked them more before smoking weed, then you don't fit to be friends with them.
but I agree with your first point. smoking weed can make you lazy as ****

I won't generalize, I agree with you on the stereotyping part. I never said potheads were intolerant and mean. I'm still friends with those friends of mine that smoke weed but some of them who are long term users have changed their personality for the worse. They stopped being goal oriented and having a normal, mature life and having a conversation with them is almost impossible.
A friend of mine who has a pot-head BF, loves him to death but complains about how hard it is for him to understand her, she has to ask him the same thing twice every time and his focus is always somewhere else when he's sober. It must be frustrating for her getting back from work and not being able to ask him how his day was or even share hers because he can't keep a normal conversation.
One of my best friends became a heavy user and he was a great person, a fantastic friend, a bright student and he loved sports too. After many years of smoking almost every day, he stopped caring about his health, his future and everything around him. Eventually he tried heavier drugs and now that he's trying to sober up, he's just someone completely different from the person he once was.
Another friend who is studying the same thing as I do, had a similar situation where his pothead husband wouldn't suit up after having a child so after many years of trying to help him, she eventually had to leave because he wouldn't do **** as a parent and as an adult. In the end it was a terrible influence for the child. So the best thing for her was to pack her things up, take her child, and work for a better life for her and her kid. He's still stuck.
I'm talking about adults, not teenagers
I like weed but I support responsible and occasional smoking. Some people react different towards smoking weed and I have met many occasional smokers that are absolutely normal, mostly because they aren't heavy users. I never said all users are like this.
So maybe it's a socio-cultural thing from where i'm currently living but I have yet to meet a pothead who is actually functional and not stuck deep in a constant stupor. I'm happy I'm not related anymore to that specific friend who is a heavy user and the deadbeat friends he's with now tbh.
